I created this cardboard block model during the Virginia Tech Inside Design Summer Program hosted by the School of Architecture department, which I attended in June 2024. At the program, students were tasked to design a geometric building and create a blueprint with plan and section sketches. We then implemented the sketched outline by creating a three-dimensional block model using the materials provided. In my design I created several boxes of various widths and lengths and arranged them vertically and horizontally to depict the massing of the building in relation to its surroundings.

I later added model trees on the edges of three blocks to provoke a sense of realism to the simple minimalistic model.
